  • Peer Support Specialist Training
    September 28th thru October 1st
    7:30am to 6pm

    This comprehensive training will equip attendees with skills to effectively provide recovery coaching to individuals seeking drug and alcohol addiction treatment and/or prevention.
    (State Certified Adult Addiction Peer Support Training)

    The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy, Peer Support Training is a 4 – day intensive training which focuses on providing each participant with the knowledge and skills needed to guide, support, encourage and sustain a persons long-term recovery from any form of addiction behaviors. Included in your approved curriculum originating and created by Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) are objectives such as; roles and functions of a recovery coach, core values & guiding principles of recovery, skills to enhance relationships, discovering attitudes around self-disclosure; understanding the dimensions of recovery & recovery coaching; the stages of recovery, ethical & boundary issues, trauma informed care, and the awareness of culture, power & privilege.

    2022 Celebrity All-Star Classic

    Saturday, October 15th at Harry & David Ballpark

    ROC Recovery Center in partnership with Impact Athletics are hosting its 3rd Annual Strong & Courageous Recovery Festival at Harry & David Ballpark on Saturday October 15th. The festival will feature the “Battle of the Badges” celebrity all-star softball game featuring pro athletes along with members of the Medford & Central Point Police Department.  All proceeds from this special event will go to support youth programs at Impact Athletics & the ROC Recovery Center.

    Festival begins Saturday at 10am with a Kids Family Fun Carnival Zone which includes a shooting gallery, face painting, free giveaways, raffle prize drawings and food.

    The festival will also feature a “on the field” celebrity skills interaction for kids ages 8 to 18 from 12pm to 2:30pm (tickets and reservation needed).

    “The purpose of this event is to celebrate the fact that ‘freedom from addiction’ is possible and to bring mental health, addiction, and suicide awareness to the forefront in our community” stated Doug Gould, Executive Director for the ROC Recovery Center. “Currently Oregon ranks in the top 10 for alcohol and drug abuse among our youth.  Our desire behind this event is to carry the message of hope to the youth and families within our community.”

  • Stepping Stones is a women’s life skills support group. 

    If you or someone you know is struggling with the “game of life,” well then, you are not alone. The main objective of this support group is to make life more manageable. We are never going to see our lives perfect, however, if we are given tools to make it easier to navigate, then life can become more personally rewarding.

    Come join us every Monday afternoon from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm.

  • RISE: Parent & Family Addiction Support Group
    Monday Evenings from 6 – 7:30pm

    If you or someone you know is struggling with a family member caught in addiction, you are not alone.

    Did you know, 85% of households in the United States are directly affected by addiction?

    RISE Support Group provides valuable information to assist in your personal journey with a loved one in the grip of addiction. We\’ll cover topics such as:

    • How to effectively communicate.
    • What exactly is enabling?
    • How to set healthy boundaries.
    • Living well in the  midst of a loved ones addiction.

  • J2F Recovery Support Group

    Journey 2 Freedom (J2F) is a faith-based one-hour recovery meeting that focuses on providing support for those suffering with all forms of addictive and/or compulsive behaviors. This is an open forum meeting and is design to bring positive encouragement to those who are currently on the “Journey 2 Freedom.”
